As members of the American Gem Society, our company has
pledged to practice the highest standard of business ethics.
In addition to following the best business practices, we are
committed to providing honest and reliable service to our
customers. Membership in the A.G.S. can only be obtained
by the most ethical, trustworthy, and highly educated jewelers
in the industry. M.M. Schenck Jewelers has met the most
stringent requirements in gemological knowledge, so the
consumer is guaranteed to be shopping with an expert. We
are required as an A.G.S. jeweler to pass comprehensive exams
annually, in order to ensure that we are up to date on the
latest industry findings. We have two Certified
Gemologist Appraisers who operate a Certified Gem Lab.
Our lab is fully equipped for identification of gemstone
properties and utilizes the Gran full spectrum diamond
colorimeter to electronically color grade diamonds.
We are a family owned, full service jewelry store with ten
employees. By full service we mean we offer all your jewelry
related needs, ON PREMISES this includes:
- Free Estimates
- Jewelry Repair in Gold/Silver and Platinum
- Expert custom designs with rendering/wax/models and
casting
- Detailed Appraisals for Insurance and Estates
We also offer:
- Watch Repair
- Laser Repair
- Stone Cutting, Repairing and Cleaning
Our employees do not use high pressure sales tactics, we don't
have to, our jewelry speaks for itself. We pride ourselves in
not giving misinformation, "Jacking up" our prices to give
unbelievable discounts, or making promises we can't keep.
We take extra precautions with our customer's jewelry. Before
you leave a diamond with us for any reason, we examine it
under a microscope. The diamond is measured and the millimeter
size noted. If any flaws are present, they are drawn to scale
on a diagram on the back or your receipt. You are
required to examine it under the microscope and sign the
drawing before leaving. Your jewelry is then insured while in
our possession. When you return to get your diamond, we go
through the same steps again, as you will be required to sign
the receipt again. This way, you can always identify your
diamond. These measures and other have earned us a sterling
reputation.
We offer a vast selection of colored gems, from a unique 1ct.
blue garnet to a 256ct. blue topaz. We specialize in the unusual
collectors' stones:
- Taaffeite
- Scapolite
- Faceted Rhodochrosite
- Maw sit sit
- Meteorites
- Abalone and faceted pearls
- And many others that you may have never seen or heard of before
Our diamonds include fancy colors of:
- Blue, Green, Yellow, Black, Pink, etc.
- G.I.A. and E.G.L. reports of every cut, color and clarity desired.
All diamonds are verified or graded in our AGS Certified Gem
Lab by one of our Certified Gemologist Appraisers.
Antique Jewelry is another specialty. In addition to rings and
pendants, we carry a lot of beautiful old watches, all
fully serviced and guaranteed. Looking for a beautiful white gold watch with
diamonds? Look no further, we have a great selection,
including the world's smallest watch. Our new watches include:
Zodiac, Bulova, Seiko, Longines, Swiss Army, Wittnauer and
Geneve.
"Handmade" is a term that can only legally be applied to
jewelry objects made entirely by hand without the use of any
machine tools. Where this term is used on this web site,
some of the items have had the use of machine tools in
completing the item (casting equipment, beading tools, setting
tools, etc.), so the term "handmade" may not legally apply.
However, they are custom designed in this store and are one of
a kind pieces-as the "lost wax" process was utilized. We
also never duplicate any of our custom designed pieces,
assuring you will have the only one.
